About Us

“United Nations Under God” is the description given the Washington, D.C. church, for the congregation truly is a melting pot.  It is multi-cultural, multi-racial, multi-national, and it represents a wide age span. It consists of African-Americans, Africans from various countries, Caucasian-Americans, Pacific Islander, and people from different countries in the West Indies. The beauty of our membership is the unity among us.  We respect and honor each other as true Christians do.   Our members praise God for the spirit of genuine brotherhood we enjoy.

We are people from all walks of life who have one thing in common:

We have found a deeply satisfying life in Jesus Christ and we want to share it  with all we come in contact with.

The Apostolic Faith Church is a worldwide religious organization, with international headquarters in Portland, Oregon. Our roots stem from the 1906 revival on Azusa Street in Los Angeles. California.  On Christmas Day of that year, the founder of our work, Reverend Florence L. Crawford, came to Portland and we mark that as the official beginning of our work.
